A Guardian Home is a very special person (or family) who agrees to raise and care for a breeder’s dog as a beloved family member. We want to spoil all our precious furkids. This is the best way possible to have the best of both worlds'.
Guardian families must live within 2 1/2 hours or less of Jacksonville, TX. They will need to have a securely fenced in yard at their home. Guardian families will need to own a reliable mode of transportation and be willing to transport the dog when necessary for breeding purposes. There cannot be any other intact dogs in the same household and no dogs with a history of aggression towards humans or other dogs. We will need our guardian families to agree to not take their guardian dog to any dog parks for safety reasons.
The Guardian Family will have a contract with us to keep the dog in good health and condition and to allow the dog to be bred for a certain number of litters (4) before they are retired, and legal ownership is given to the Guardian Family.
The terms regarding medical expenses, breeding costs will be explained if a Guardian home is accepted. A deposit will be placed for the Guardian Puppy to be refunded when the dog has delivered her last litter. This helps ensure both parties are invested in the dog’s well-being and the breeding process.
Becoming a Guardian Family is a commitment, but you will be helping other families to get their own furry family member that your own special Guardian Dog helped to create and in the end YOUR Guardian Dog becomes yours for life.
As a Guardian Home you will receive a 'pick of the litter' puppy which will be a great addition to your family & a huge help to our breeding program.
